Is Hip Hop today became the WWE (all hype, no substance) or is just a change in music taste"

I was wondering whether Hip hop has become all just hype?  Has the substance gone or do the artist really don't care about their craft?  Is this just a generational difference?

It's a mixture.. but most artist today don't care.

I heard Waka say he ain't tryna be lyrical.

He even got a song out right now called "I'on Really Care" (lol)

Waka cool tho.

I like it as long as we getting entertained its all good.jst hope thy dnt kill one anatha

IT IS A LOT OF HYPE YOU MAY GET SOME REAL GOOD LINES EVERY NOW AND THEN BUT IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE PERSON.I LIKE RAP BUT A DIFFERENT KIND. EXAMPLE ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS LOVE HARD CORE RAP THE OTHER ONE WILL ONLY LISTEN TO A SELECTED FEW. DIFFERENT PERSONALTIES

I WOULDNT SAY ALL HYPE WE STILL HAVE SOME REAL ARTIST LEFT

I mean you got a  got a guys like Big Krit who is that thang but people barely knows he exist.  Hip Hop still needs to be the platformt of communication for thoses who have no voice.

It needs to be a mixture like in the Mid to Late 90's where if you didn't have or want this, you can easily look into something else

ITS WWE. YOU WON'T FIND THE GOOD SHIT UNLESS YOU LOOK UNDERGROUND! MUCH LUV, MZ TEFLON

the fake is slowly leaving

there is still sum real rappers out there

Rap has allays had rapper's with no substance or what we would call sucka Mc's back in the day that is what always separated a good rapper from a weak rapper...Rap has evolved I think it's alot more independence in the rap game which automatically brings allot more diversity to the rap game..It has allway's been a business and allot of people fail to realize that fact, back in the day if a dude didn't have a major label behind him  you would have never heard of him or his music unless yall was from the same state or city!!!Now a days you got the internet pioneers like wiz and solja boy kirko bangz and  it's a million more up and coming rappers!!! Nwa Gehto boys were the first gangsta rappers I ever heard, the shit was going on they talked about but were they the one's doing it HELL NO!!!But they were felt because everybody in the hood could relate to it weather it was positive or negative!!!Rappers tell the story for their generation...The world has evolved just as well as the brand of music and rapper's...Im glad this generation doesn't sound like the last generation you gotta workwayy harder then you had to do back in the day Thank's to Tupac rappers back in the day didn't have close the material that rappers have these days!!!!Rap I think has grew and you still got whack mc's just like back in the day and if it sound good... ppl are still gonna listen regardless substance or not!!! Lil B  you feel me LOL!!!!
