Christina Millian and ex-husband Terius Nash (aka “The Dream”) are causing a bit of raucous lately. The music producer and singer have been using media as a way to rip each other apart. On 97.9 The Box, a Houston radio station, The singer accused The Dream of being an absentee father, an insult to a man who seems to believe that he has given everything to his ex-wife and child.
Millian was supposed to be on the show for an interview about working with the Cash Money crew and the conversation turned to her relationship with her ex-husband and their daughter Violet. Millian went out of her way to say, “I’m not happy at the moment, but I have come to the realization that I have to be 200% mom for her and it’s not about finances, it’s about spending time. We live in different cities, he’s in Atlanta and I’m in LA. There are planes and plenty of money for airplanes so… as far as Skyping: I’m just gonna leave it at that. My daughter is a great kid and someday there will be a healthy man in my life that will love her the way I do.”
Obviously The Dream was not happy about the accusations and attacks launched on him on such a public platform. He claims that Millian is a “has-been” and that her radio interview was just a publicity stunt. Nash denies that her comments were true and then went on to call the “Dip it Low” singer a gold digger. Since neither star seems to be backing down, hopefully young Violet doesn’t feel any of the heat between her parents.
The relationship is saddest because it’s causing the child to lose her parents as one parent spends her time bashing the other. Also, the insinuation that her daughter needs a different father sets off alarm bells to people who feel that Christina is seeking to take away The Dream’s rights to be her dad. The drama isn’t going to end, and the child is going to suffer. But that’s the way it usually works out.
